Episode 2.10

We welcome Rabbi Cantor Raina Siroty (yes, she was actually fully ordained with both titles! Whoa!), who talks with us about the true Mitzvah of Foster Care as well as adoption of children in need of families. She is a superstar of a clergy person and a mom, and we really enjoyed talking with her! Bonus: she ends the episode by blessing ALL of us IN SONG!

In our What Are We Thinking About Segment, Marci and Emma talked about Jewish camps and referenced the following:

URJ’s network of Jewish Camps

Camps that Emma’s attended: GUCI, Camp George, Crane Lake Camp (where Emma and Marci met!), 6 Points Sci-Tech, and Camp Harlam

And Marci went to OSRUI 🙂

Emma also talked about Netzer Machaneh in South Africa.

You can find out more about Rabbi Cantor Raina Siroty on her website or the website of her temple.

In her introduction, Raina mentioned IU’s Hillel and talked about Clinical Pastoral Education

In our Ask The Rabbi segment, we mentioned several resources and organisations relating to Israel. Here they are:

Haaretz, The Jerusalem Post, The Promised Podcast (HIGHLY recommended by Emma), AIPAC, J Street, ARZA, and Arzeinu
